What has the power to make you laugh on a dreary Tuesday after a long weekend?
How about a kid named "Syphilis"?
On the Child-Free by Choice board, they're sharing the craziest kids' names they've ever heard. Diamond... Kennedy -- spelled Kenadie...and one of our former teachers here on the boards emailed me to add Vendetta, Tequila Sunrise, Exxon and Taurus.
Oh my.

Funny your email would mention Lemonjello and Orangejello. My uncle told us that joke and my sister said, "Oh, they're in my homeroom!" We thought she was playing along with the joke till she got her yearbook and pointed them out "Lemanjelo" and "Oranjelo", pronounced "Luh-MAHN-zhuh-lo" and "Or-AHN-zhuh-lo", twin boys.
LOL, well, my tax preparer, bless her, has a daughter named "Chlamydia". She claims that when she picked out the name she just liked the way it sounded, not knowing about the STD. Thankfully, she gave her daughter the middle name "Olivia" so she goes by that instead, lol. The craziest one I knew personally, though, was "Lavernashelle". Crazier still, I've a ex-relative obsessed with giving her kids each four names then calling them something completely unrelated to their names; that is, naming her daughter something like "Susan Jane Hannah Jones" but calling her "Marie". LOL
Well, I don't know that it's the craziest name ever, but, when I was pregnant with my youngest, my doctor kept pressing for a name. I happened to be holding a magazine and there was an article about some sports star that just had a baby and named him Denim. I told the doctor that I just couldn't bring myself to name my child after a piece of fabric. ;-)
My daughter is friends with a girl named Tres Belle.
When I was pg with my youngest, I told my oldest DD that I was naming a boy Daniel Samuel. She believed me and was mortified. LOL, she's too easy to tease. My personal favorite weird names are Dweezil and Moon Unit, children of the late Frank Zappa.
I knew a pair of twin boys named Stone and Steel, ultra macho names no?
I know a woman named Shady, with children named Stone and Pebbles.
I've heard stories or maybe it was a joke about someone naming their child Female.... pronounced like the mexican food.
People always think my name is strange. I love it :)
i knew a family whose last name was wolf, so they named one of their boys Lone Wolf, poor kid.

I have friend named Wylee (girl). a friend named her daughter Hickory. and another name ive heard was indigo for a girl. and twin boys named harrison and deisel. my favorite celebrity names are rumor, scout and telua bell (bruce and demi)
We're due in August and I tell people we'll name our kid Weebl if it's a girl and Maria if it's a boy. Just so they'll shut up about name suggestions.
I know 4 kids, of an ex-stripper names Dallas, Chance, Quest and Steele.
